Expand the current location of the DGFD Fire College in the southeast area of Sulaibiya.
Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Mekrad, the DGFD head of said the municipality’s letter dated October 10, 2019 states that an alternative site for the college has been chosen next to the Ali Al-Sabah Military Academy, and called for instructing those who are required to approve the expansion of the current site of the college (southeast of Sulaibiya), so that the total area of the site after the expansion becomes 500,000 square meters, reports Al-Qabas daily.
He noted the area of the allocated current site is 260,000 square meters according to a decision of Municipal Council dated March 5, 2012.
Al-Mekrad hoped that the matter will get utmost importance and urgency, in order to complete the procedures for floating the tender for the design of the College.
