The General Fire Force, under the leadership of Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Mekrad, administratively shut down three factories in Ahmadi and Sabhan for violating safety and fire prevention requirements, Al Jarida reported.
The factories contained chemicals and highly flammable liquids, and the fire force had previously warned them to remove the violations. The closure decisions are part of a campaign by the department to inspect commercial and investment buildings, industrial plots, and factories to ensure that they have adequate safety measures in place.
Moreover, the Department of Public Relations and Information called on property owners and tenants to implement safety measures and remove violations to avoid administrative closure and achieve community security.
