The Environment Public Authority said in all regions of Kuwait there is an increase in the levels of PM2.5 fine particles due to fog but is not carcinogenic pollutant.

The authority, based on what was published on the social media, last Thursday, denied the pollution has reached a dangerous level in the Al-Qurain region and its surrounding areas, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The EPA said it has 15 stations distributed over a number of residential areas in the country, including an air pollutant monitoring station in the Qurain region.

The sources explained that the EPA employees are working around the clock to monitor pollution levels in all monitoring stations, and announce them to the public in a transparent manner, with warnings to certain groups of the public in the event that an air pollutant rises above the permitted national standard in Kuwait.
