Educational sources said the Ministry of Finance has reduced the budget of the Ministry of Education by 10 percent and the budget for services contracts by 50 percent.
The sources told Al-Jarida the Ministry of Finance has informed the Ministry of Education to reduce its annual budget for 2021/2022 by about 200 million dinars.
The sources pointed out that the reduction will affect the ministry’s vital projects, especially construction projects, school furniture and school needs.
Moreover, the sources confirmed that the rewards for the ‘excellent work’ have been transferred to the Central Bank, pointing out that the money will be disbursed into the accounts of beneficiaries within two to three weeks.
