A Filipino worker was punched in the face by an angry Kuwaiti man after he requested him to wear a face mask, local media reported. The Kuwaiti man entered a cafe next to Alfa fuel station in Shaab, noticing he was not wearing a mask which was against health regulations, the Filipino worker informed him that it was a requirement to wear a face mask, according to security sources.

The suspect was seemingly insulted by the request, and assaulted the worker. The Filipino filed a complaint with the police station and submitted a medical report verifying the assault.

Police have launched a hunt for the unidentified Kuwaiti man to charge him for the attack.
