Filipino household service workers in Kuwait are given opportunity to avail a one-day baking scholarship organized by CEE Network Lifestyle Workshops and in cooperation with The Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Kuwait.

The weekly event, which is sponsored fully by FRiENDi mobile and held at the new premises of CEE Network Lifestyle Workshops.

On its second week, the baking scholarship program offered to Filipino domestic workers or holders of Visa 20 provide a chance to acquire knowledge and skills in baking breads and pastries popularly sold on bakeries.

Acting Philippine Labor Attaché Cathy Duladul lauded the participants and would be scholars to use fully the knowledge and somehow can help change if not add provide new opportunity for them to augment their income while employed in Kuwait.

She also encouraged houseworkers not to miss this opportunity and sign up immediately in the program. “I would like to express my gratitude to CEE Network Lifestyle Workshops for taking this initiative to start this project and highlight on our domestic workers’ personal development and to FRiENDi mobile for their generous support in fostering this one-of-a-kind project” stated Duladul.

The one-day scholarship program by CEE Network commenced few months back and was sponsored by two groups of recruitment agencies FILASEAK and FILCRO. The weekly class scheduled every Sunday at the hall of the CEE Network commence at 9 in the morning till 12 noon. A certificate of participation is awarded after each class signed by the Labor Attaché, Project Manager and MasterChef.

“It’s overwhelming to be in the class and the experience is really life changing, learning the correct process and procedures on how to achieve good baked products make me proud that I can change my career path somehow or add to my resume when I take on a new job” added Jenny Llenora, household helper in Kuwait working for same employer for eight years. Lenora thanked her employer for their support and lauded her achievement.

CEE Network Lifestyle Workshop thanked FRiENDi mobile for their support and generous assistance to ensure that the project is available for those who may wish to avail them. FRiENDi mobile is now available in 1,600 outlets and booths are present in leading stores nationwide for an easy access to the public.
