Cecilia Alvarez, a household service worker for twenty five years with same employer launched her first recipe book Saturday morning during the opening of International Culinary Arts center in Al Salam Mall, Salmiyah. Sponsor Mr. Nabil Awad published the book to showcase Alvarez collection of recipes gathered throughout the years of her service to her sponsors.
“This is the culmination of what my employers and I have worked throughout these years which is to see this book published and given out to people so they too can try what I have prepared for years. I thank my sponsors Mr. Nabil Awad and Mrs. Sahar Awad for this life changing experience and I can thank them enough” stated Alvarez. Mr. Nabil Awad praised Alvarez for her services rendered to them and that she deserved such privilege. “This book is a compilation of different cuisines Cecilia and I have collected and cooked, some were traditional and others have been given twists to create identity to the dishes. I am thankful that we are able to launch this book and hand out to the public its first 50 editions and sign for them. We are suggesting to sell the books and proceeds to go to charity” stated Mr. Nabil Awad.
