The General Directorate of Residence Affairs Investigation has blocked the activities of 20 companies as a result of which they cannot renew the residence permits of their employees or issue visit visas.
The Al-Anba daily said this happened after the department caught several workers sponsored by these companies working for others instead of their original sponsors.
Moreover, the arrested Article 18 workers said the company did not give them work and they had no option but to work for others to earn their daily bread.
