A week-long celebration of the best of British foods is being held at all outlets of LuLu Hypermarket from 10 – 17 June. The ‘LuLu British Food Week’ was inauguratedon 10 June at the Al-Qurain branch of the hypermarket by British Ambassador H.E.Belinda Lewis along with top management of LuLu Hypermarket in Kuwait, and inthe presence of a large gathering of shoppers and well-wishers of the brand.
Adding to the lively vibe of the inauguration was a high-energy performance by a special British band that delighted guests and shoppers alike. Another major draw was an exhibition of classic vintage cars from the UK that had many classic-car
enthusiasts swooning over the gleaming vehicles.
A major attraction of the seven-day food festival, which showcases the finest food products from the United Kingdom, is the amazing offers on all UK-branded products, as well as special promotions on select items. Shoppers appear spoilt for choice with hundreds of well-known British food brands being made available at one-off prices during the promotion period.
The festive and exciting backdrop to the LuLu British Food Week continued indoors at all LuLu outlets with UK-themed decorations, including flags, pennants, buntings and streamers, as well as large cut-outs and images of historic monuments and iconic buildings that underlined the rich tradition and heritage of the United Kingdom.
Kiosks offering free food samplings, and replicas of traditional British street-food stalls offering popular items such as fish, chips, cheese and gravy, are other singular attractions drawing shoppers in large numbers.
