The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Tuesday confirmed the safety and efficacy of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the Washington Post, the FDA affirmed that the vaccine’s efficacy data met its expectations for emergency use authorization.
Over the past two weeks, FDA researchers conducted their comprehensive analysis of the data and confirmed the validity of Pfizer’s assessment that the vaccine regimen was 95 percent effective in preventing the disease, and had no major safety issues.
