On Friday, the Kuwait Relief Society concluded its relief campaign (Fazaa for Palestine) with a total of donations amounting to 3,262,020 dinars (equivalent to 10,540 million dinars), to support the current conditions in Palestine as a result of the humanitarian events there, in coordination and supervision of the Kuwaiti Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Information.

The general supervisor of the campaign, Omar Al-Thuwaini, confirmed to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the proceeds from the campaign go to help many sectors, including health, nutrition and shelter, especially with the wounded and displaced people unable to find shelter or food, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Thuwaini explained that there is a tendency to deliver shipments of aid to Jerusalem and the West Bank, in addition to delivering the largest amount of aid to the Gaza Strip, indicating that the number of donors to this campaign exceeded 60,000.

He pointed out that the associations participating in the campaign deliver aid through the country’s embassy in Jordan and then to charitable associations operating inside Palestine and approved by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which in turn will provide the required needs.

He added that the campaign aims to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, stand with our brothers, and contribute to securing necessary and urgent medical and food aid and shelter supplies for civilians.
