It was all glamour and glitz in Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School (DPS), Ahmadi,
Kuwait as the school celebrated one of the biggest achievements of setting the first world record in Micrography.
On 6 th May, 2023, 56 students of FAIPS along with Mr. A. S. Nageshwara Rao, the Head of Department, Fine Arts, pursued to earn a spot in the World Book of Records, United Kingdom, for Micrography Skills. World Book of Records is an organization that catalogs and verifies extraordinary records across the world with authentic certification in UK and Europe. Its primary objective and goal is to record, honour, list, appreciate, authenticate and adjudicate events, which can be termed as activities of world standard.
To honour their achievement, on Tuesday, 7 th June 2023, FAIPS –DPS organized a marvelous event. This event boasted the presence of His Excellency Dr. Adarsh Swaika, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, as the Chief Guest. A distinguished line up of dignitaries, which included Ms.Anchita Kethwas, Second Secretary (Education), Embassy of India , Kuwait, Mr. Arun Choudary, Chief Financial Officer & Head Strategy, Al Rayan Holding Company, Dr.Balasubramanian, Director, My New Version LLC, Sharjah, and Mr. Ramadoss, President,Indian Frontliners, were present to grace the programme.
The event commenced with the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by the Indian National Anthem. Abdul Rahman Adnan recited versus from the Holy Quran and Tuba Siddiqui gave its translation. Subsequently, with the audience gracing themselves with the presence of the Almighty, the dignitaries lighted the auspicious Lamp, against the backdrop of a mellifluous Veena played by S. Gayathri Devi.
The Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, in his welcome address laid emphasis on the role of art in education and its magical effect in making learning a joyous activity than a burden to pupils.The Ambassador of India to Kuwait, Dr. Adarsh Swaika urged parents to focus on the need to consider students’ aspirations. He also advised the students to consider parents invaluable directions as well. Dr. Adarsh Swaika reiterated breaking free from the stereotyped professional courses. He expressed appreciation about the facilities set up by FAIPS.
Thereafter, Mr. Nageshwar Rao briefed the audience about the achievement through a PPT presentation. He elaborated on Micrography and explained various artworks, including intricate painting on grains, seeds etc. and pictures built up of cascading details.
A medley of cultural extravaganza added variety and entertainment to the programme. ‘Give a Little Love’ by Ziggy Marley performed by middle school students and an instrumental by Joshua and Shaun, who played the Violin and Keyboard respectively, performing two masterpieces, Quizas and Dandelions had a soothing effect on the audience.
Following this performance was nothing short of an epitome of street jazz, by Sharal and Rishit, a high-octane, power-packed duet performance, which filled the auditorium with an aura of energy. A fusion dance combining Bharatnatyam and Kathak flawlessly rendered added to the already exquisite line of performance.
The dignitaries presented certificates to the awardees. Vote of Thanks by the Vice Principal, Ms.Vineeta Munshi brought down the curtain on this memorable event.Believing that education is the all-round development, FAIPS –DPS always provides a conducive ambience to its staff and students to hone and showcase their talents and skills.
