The Association of Faculty Members at Kuwait University stressed its rejection of the so-called “values document”, which some of the Kuwaiti National Assembly candidates have signed and promised to approve it if they are elected to the Parliament.

In a statement, the association stressed that engaging in such practices is a violation of the ethics of democratic work, a restriction of public freedoms, and a questioning of the behavior of the general public, especially our male and female students, reports a local Arabic daily.

The association said that what was stated in this document, especially with regard to Kuwait University, is a violation of the articles of the constitution and explicitly violates the ruling of the Constitutional Court in 2015, which stipulated that segregation inside the building and the classroom is sufficient to achieve the principle of gender segregation, which is a guarantee for the proper functioning of the educational process and academic education. joint construction.
