The Ministry of Health has directed all expats who have arrived from India, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Egypt, Syria, Sri Lanka, Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia in the last few days to appear at health centers for medical examinations as per the set guidelines to tackle the coronavirus infection in the country, reported by Al-Rai.
According to the directive, the offenders who refuse to comply will receive a punishment of a one-month prison sentence and a fine not exceeding KD50 or one of these two penalties.
Yesterday, the Sabhan Health Center was rushed by a large crowd of expatriates, who came for their mandatory medical check-up to ensure they were coronavirus-free.
According to sources, the center increased the number of medical staff on duty to improve the workflow. Hence, it was better processed compared to the first day when the center was unable to handle the workload.
