An Arabic daily reported that no work permits would be renewed for expatriates who reached the age of 70 regardless of their job title or profession.
The sources added that PAM is currently working to halt the granting of work permits after two or three years for those who have reached the age of 65 years.
The source added that the people can transfer their residence permit to family visa in line with the regulations set by the General Administration of Residence Affairs in the Ministry of Interior.
This report follows earlier reports which mentioned that work permits would not be renewed for marginal workers after the age of 60. PAM later denied these reports.
