The ban on expats entry to the country remains in effect, as the Council of Ministers’ decisions this evening did not mention ending the ban on expats entering Kuwait.

Only citizens and their first-degree relatives are permitted to travel to Kuwait from abroad, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Al Rai daily reported, quoting informed sources.  Kuwait airport is currently operating at only 10 percent capacity.

Expats and Kuwaiti nationals are permitted to depart from Kuwait airport, but as a prerequisite, they have to register on the Traveler platform Kuwait Mosafer while citizens have to be vaccinated.
