Data issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait says the exchange companies in Kuwait made good business which reflects the volume of remittances from expatriates in Kuwait, which is expected to record big number during 2022.
The data shows about 32 exchange companies achieved revenues of about 25.8 million dinars by the end of the first quarter of 2022, which is the highest level of revenues achieved by companies since 2015, including 18.26 million dinars, revenues from selling currencies during the first 3 months of 2022, which is the highest level for 8 years, recording a net profit of 13.4 million dinars, which is the highest net profit rate in the first quarter since 2015, reports a local Arabic daily.
In detail, the exchange companies sector operating in Kuwait achieved a net profit of 13.39 million dinars from January to the end of last March, and compared to an annual basis, the net profit increased by 37% for the first quarter, amounting to 3.6 million dinars, compared to the same period in 2021.
