The Federation of Domestic Workers Recruitment Agencies held talks with the Ethiopian ambassador about the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the recruitment of Ethiopian domestic workers to work in the country, Al Qabas reported.
The union said in a press statement, that the MoU with the Ethiopian side has been reviewed and approved by the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry and the Manpower Authority, adding that Kuwait is awaiting a response from the Ethiopian side.
The union indicated that Ethiopian workers are among the most desirable labor in the country, especially after the opening of training centers for them before their arrival in Kuwait.
