The Environment Public Authority has taken data from the air quality monitoring stations and warned individuals of the increasing concentration of fine particles suspended in the air due to the rising dust. Officials from the authority called on citizens and residents who have respiratory diseases and conditions, whether children or the elderly, to avoid staying outside for long periods and limit outdoor activities as much as possible.

In addition, the authority confirmed that the advice was based on the Meteorological Department’s warning against the presence of activity in the northwest winds that gathered up dust during separate periods on Wednesday, and will last up to several hours. This is based on the data monitored at the air quality assessment stations affiliated with the increase in the concentration of fine suspended particles in the atmosphere as a result of the dusty weather.
