The Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works, began closing the entrances to the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area by setting concrete barriers. Large numbers of workers residing in the area tried to leave and tried to collect their belongings to reside in other areas, ensuring that they could continue to go to their job.
The ministry of interior has clamped down on movement of workers and warned sponsors not to shift workers or legal action would be taken.
