The Cabinet has entrusted the Minister of Information and Culture, Hamad Rouh al-Din, with the tasks and responsibility of supervising the follow-up to the implementation of the entertainment city project, and assigning him to coordinate with the concerned authorities in the area of existing “legal, technical, economic and financial” situations related to the transfer of the entertainment city project, and to submit a final report to the Cabinet within a month, including the recommendations submitted in the area of implementing.
A letter issued by the Council of Ministers to the relevant ministers (a copy of which was obtained by Al-Qabas) indicates that the Council has issued a memorandum of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers (Legal Affairs Secretariat) dated October 3, 2021, which included its legal opinion, which is settled on after studying the content of the Amiri Diwan book, where It concluded that “the Council of Ministers may assign any government agency to implement the Entertainment City project.”
The Council issued its decision assigning the Minister of Information and Culture to coordinate with the Amiri Diwan, Kuwait Municipality, Fatwa and Legislation Department, and whoever it deems appropriate from the relevant authorities to implement the project as quickly as possible.
