Vice President of the National Union of Employees and Head of the Workers Union at the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Khaled Al-Barrak, stressed the need for the government to carry out its responsibilities towards providing a decent life for citizens, especially the segment of employees who depend entirely on the monthly salary in light of the continuous price increases.

Al-Barrak said that the Central Administration of Statistics indicated that the consumer price index in Kuwait rose in November 2022 by 6.74% compared to the same month of 2021, and other commodities rose, but at lower rates, reports a local Arabic daily.

He called on the government to monitor prices and limit the continuous increases and adjust the salary scale in line with these large price increases that began several years ago, saying the salary scale has remained static in the face of prices increase.
