The Embassy of Switzerland launched the Green Life Project which is the first project of its kind that focuses on smart agriculture with aerobic cultivation in Kuwait.

The event commenced at the residence of the Swiss Ambassador. H.E Tiziano Balmelli, along with many distinguished guests, Heads of Diplomatic Missions, as well as a number of those interested in these technologies.

The Swiss Ambassador stated that the Green Life Project aims to present products that have been produced by Swiss farms using Swiss technologies with the primary aim to enhance food security, by providing healthy and high-quality agricultural products using the least amount of irrigation water, and by using the most advanced technological methods in the world, which is called aerobic technology, while noting that agricultural production through this technology in an area of ​​one square meter is equivalent to farming in 24 square meters using traditional methods.

Followed by, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Green Life Project, Adel Al-Shamali stating that the aerobic cultivation technology in Switzerland was developed according to an automated system that controls the size and weight of the product, and it also saves 97% of water and with less energy, and is produced throughout the year, stressing that these crops are completely free of any chemicals or pesticides.

He additionally stated “We represent the Swiss company in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, and we started from Kuwait, and we will move in the second stage to Saudi Arabia, and then to the rest of the countries in the region.”
