The authorities concerned with evaluating the performance of employees are working on a different mechanism to calculate excellent work awards in government institutions and ministries to motivate employees on one hand and rationalizing spending on the other.

Sources told Al-Qabas the evaluation will be done by the electronic evaluation mechanism which will calculate the employee productivity on performance and not attendance.

High-ranking sources indicated currently 80 percent of the evaluation is done by respective direct officials under whom the employee works and the 30 percent is linked to the employee himself to prove attendance (180 working days).
