The electric load index is increasing day after day. Significant increases were recorded in electrical consumption loads, Al Jarida reported.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the electricity jumped to a new record high of 14,506 megawatts consumption, while on Tuesday, 14,250 megawatts were consumed. An increase of 250 megawatts within one day, and an increase of 500 megawatts compared to last Monday.
Minister of Electricity and Water, Dr. Mishaan Al-Otaibi said in a statement that the expected maximum load this summer is 16,000 megawatts and that the Ministry of Electricity is always ready for the worst eventualities.
The sources of electricity told the daily that the ministry has sufficient production capacity for Kuwait’s energy needs, The installed capacity of production exceeded 20 thousand megawatts, according to the latest statistics of the ministry.
