A few days ago, an Egyptian engineer found himself in a serious predicament after attempting a misguided joke with security personnel at the Kuwait International Airport.

He was subsequently referred to the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police station and charged with making serious false claims. The incident unfolded when the engineer, prior to departing the country, made a facetious remark about possessing a bomb in his personal baggage.

A reliable security source emphasized the inviolable nature of airport security, highlighting that any attempts to compromise it are strictly forbidden. Following the Egyptian engineer’s alarmist claim, comprehensive scrutiny was conducted on his bags. Regrettably, this inspection yielded no evidence to support his claim.

The source further revealed that during his questioning at the police station, the Egyptian engineer admitted to fabricating the entire scenario as a jest aimed at the security personnel.

In light of this admission, the security personnel initiated proceedings leading to an administrative recommendation for his deportation. This measure was intended to facilitate his return to his home country.
