Head of the poultry division in the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, said Cairo is ready to export any quantity of poultry to Kuwaiti especially after recently receiving requests from the State of Kuwait.

In a statement to a local Arabic daily he said: “We aim to export poultry to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia before the end of this year, especially after our recent success in entering the UAE and Oman.”

He added: “We assure the brothers in Kuwait that we meet all export conditions and in accordance with the conditions that stipulate they must be bred in facilities free of any pathogens, and we have confirmation to this effect, and there are several parties ready, and we are waiting for a meeting with the authorities.” concerned to discuss the final details, and to emphasize the application of veterinary, health and nutritional requirements.

He pointed out that the poultry market in Egypt is capable of exporting, “where production reaches 1.5 billion chickens annually, and farms aim to increase it to 2.3 billion for export, especially to Arab and African markets.”
