Informed sources stated that “Al-Sager formally addressed Al-Khaled with a letter in which he confirmed that this decision leads to the displacement of skilled workers from Kuwait, and will have significant negative effects on the national economy,” calling for “the need for the government to move towards canceling the decision and not implementing it

On a related level, the sources revealed that “the disagreement of views is still ongoing between the Minister of Trade and Industry, Chairman of the Manpower Board, Dr. Abdullah Al-Salman, and the Director General of the Authority, Ahmed Al-Mousa, regarding the 60 year decision,” noting that “Salman was seeking until yesterday to convince Al-Mousa of the need to change His position rejecting the amendment of the decision, and the acceptance that the renewal fee for this segment should be 500 dinars in addition to health insurance in the private sector.

The sources pointed out that “considering that the Director-General guarantees the majority in the board of directors of the Manpower Authority, the minister tried to convince Al-Mousa of this approach and agree amicably to hold a meeting of the board of directors to approve the amendment according to Salman’s proposal, which winked from a channel that his orientation in this regard reflects the government’s desire, except The failure to reach an agreement in this regard prompted Al-Salman not to call for a meeting of the council, which will not change the result of his predecessor, who imposed a fee of 2000 dinars, pointing out that “the minister will raise his position to the Council of Ministers, to take what he deems appropriate in this regard.”
