The Ministry of Education is planning to introduce first aid subject to be taught to students at the secondary level, and to combine it with the traffic awareness course which is being currently applied to help reduce accidents and their tragic consequences.
In the context, educational sources said the course aims to educate students about the importance of mastering the art of first aid, in cases such as suffocation, cardiac arrest, bleeding, shock, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The sources said the course will be studied theoretically only if it is approved, and workshops will be organized in cooperation with the Medical Emergency Department.
