The residents of Kuwait felt an earthquake early today, Sunday morning. The location of its occurrence has not yet been determined, Al-Rai reported.

The environmental group Green Line said that an earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale hit Iran and was felt by Kuwaitis in different regions.

The National Seismic Information Center (NEIC) of the United States Geological Survey reported the magnitude 5.8 earthquake at a depth of 10.0 km (6.21 mi) 27 km northeast of Bandar-e Gino in Iran.

Iranian television said that a magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit the Bushehr region in the south of the country, which includes a nuclear power plant, but there were no reports of injuries.
