The ninth edition of the e-Government Forum which will be held under the patronage of the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Acting Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Rana Al-Faris will kick off on Oct 23 under the slogan “e-government is the pillar of a comprehensive development renaissance”. from Oct 23-25, 2022.

The e-Government Forum is organized by Nouf Expo and the Federation of Kuwaiti Engineering Offices and Consulting Houses, in cooperation with the Central Agency for Information Technology, will be held in the Al-Baraka Hall at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, reports a local Arabic daily.

Director-General of the Central Agency for Information Technology, Haya Al-Wadani, thanked Minister Al-Faris for her sponsorship of the forum, which supports the efforts of the Central Agency for Information Technology to implement the directions of the political leadership to achieve the New Kuwait Vision 2035, specifically the development of smart government services in the country, in cooperation with all other parties.

She pointed out the e-government is a shared responsibility between various state agencies, especially as the task is growing everyday as a result of the development and openness of the Kuwaiti society to technological adoption in all aspects of daily and practical life.

Al-Wadani praised the clear-cut efforts of the Nouf Expo Company, the Federation of Engineering Offices and the Kuwaiti consultancy roles for their efforts in organizing the forum, and welcomed government institutions, private sector institutions and speakers participating in the forum.

Deputy Director General of the Central Agency for Information Technology, Dr. Ammar Al-Husseini said he is happy with the launch of the forum’s activities.

He pointed to the influential and remarkable role the forum has played in its previous sessions and so far in drawing the attention to the importance of e-government for the development and growth of societies.

Al-Husseini added, “We look forward to effective participation in the forum by government agencies, as they are all concerned with this vital topic, especially that the forum presents this year an important topic related to the integration, coordination and concerted efforts to develop the e-government system and implement development plan projects.
