The marine area where Al-Durra offshore field lies is part of State of Kuwait’s sea territories, and its natural resources therein are shared between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, said an official source of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.
It is only the State of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia that have exclusive rights to the natural resource of Al-Durra field, the source said in a press release.
The source reiterated Kuwait’s call on the Iranian side to start negotiations over the demarcation of the marine boundary between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia on the one hand and the Iranian side on the other hand. – KUNA
