The Coast Guard General Department in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Air Force, the Fire Department and the Maritime Rescue Department thwarted an attempt by unidentified persons to smuggle 500 kilos of cannabis into country.
According to a local Arabic daily the Coast Guard monitored a vessel entering Kuwait’s territorial waters and sought assistance, but by the time help reached the site the intruding vessel had escaped after dumping the contraband into the sea, reports a local Arabic daily.
