The Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, has issued a ministerial decision stipulating the direct employment of doctors (children born to Kuwaiti women) in the framework of keenness to benefit from their medical experiences.
The first article of the decision specified the requirements for appointment saying non-Kuwaiti children of Kuwaiti women should obtain the position of a “human” resident doctor to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery, and he would be transferred to the position of a registered assistant after successfully spending one year in his job, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Article 2 also specifies the requirements for filling the position of a non-Kuwaiti resident doctor, who is the children of Kuwaiti women, by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Oral and Dental Surgery, and who is transferred to the position of a registered assistant after successfully spending one year in his job.
In its third article, the decision referred to the financial benefits for the doctors mentioned in the first and second articles, including granting them the basic salary, work allowance, sentinel allowance, financial reward, housing allowance, cost-of-living allowance, and a special increase, according to the decision.
