The domestic workers recruitment offices are back in business after a long hiatus as a result of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and some offices are said to be charging outrageous fees to hire a domestic worker touching almost 1,750 dinars.
Sources told Al-Jarida some offices do not comply with the recruitment price of 890 dinars set by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI).
The sources indicated these offices circumvent the decisions of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry but to protect themselves from the law — 890 dinars is recorded in the invoice but the rest of the money is paid in cash.
