Diplomatic sources confirmed the validity of the circulating video clip, in which a Thai youth appeared stopping Kuwaiti youths at gunpoint in Bangkok to rob them, explaining that it was an irresponsible joke from a citizen with his friends.
The sources said, “The embassy in Thailand did not receive any complaints from the citizens about what happened, as it was a (joke) from their Thai colleague and friend who used a toy gun,” stressing that “it is impossible for such a matter to happen in reality, because the security in Thailand is strong and such incidents cannot happen,” reports Al-Rai daily.
The source pointed out that “the spread of this irresponsible video may cause concern to the families of the young people who are there, and the Thai authorities do not allow such pranks to occur, and the one responsible may be subject to legal accountability.”
