The head of the Public Relations and Media Department of the Directorate-General of Fire Department (DGFD) Colonel Muhammad Al-Gharib said the department carried out an inspection tour of nine major projects under construction, upon directives of the head of the DGFD, Lieutenant-General Khaled Al-Makrad, under direct supervision of his deputy for the prevention sector, Major General Khaled Fahd.
Al-Gharib added the DGFD inspectors found during the inspection of the nine sites the officers found violations of the DGFD laws concerning safety and fire prevention requirements by exploiting the projects for the purpose of random storage, which threatens the safety of lives and property.
Al-Gharib added that the inspection team has warned owner, and gave 48 hours to remove all violations before taking necessary legal measures.
