The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation has asked to sign a direct contract for the maintenance of radar station to be signed with the Global Surveillance Approach, Thales Group, a French company.
The Al-Anba daily has learned from responsible sources that the value of the contract is one million dinars, equivalent to 2.85 million Euros. The contract extends for a period of 5 years.
The sources stated that the contract is very important in terms of the air control provided at the Kuwait International Airport, and the radar devices perform their tasks in a different way, by creating permanent and comprehensive images of the entire airspace.
