The agencies operating at Kuwait International Airport have raised the maximum levels of readiness, coinciding with the return of citizens and residents who spent the Eid al-Adha holiday outside the country.

The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation witnessed the return of 285,000 passengers during the Eid holiday on 1,737 flights. Informed sources stated that the Eid holiday coincided with the travel of pilgrims and their return from the Holy Land, as well as with the summer travel season, and this increased the responsibilities of the agencies operating at the airport to provide comfort for travelers and facilitate the smooth movement of their departure and return to the country, reports a local Arabic daily.

The sources pointed out the DGCA put in place a comprehensive plan for the smooth movement of passengers at the airport by doubling the number of employees at the gates, in the transit area, and in the departure and arrival halls, and taking several steps to confront the congestion, and to end the procedures quickly and easily, despite the doubling of flights ensuring quick security checks at departures and arrivals to the airport and baggage checks, the completion of passenger procedures proceeded smoothly, flexibly and without any problems.
