The Kuwait Municipality has called those interested not to confuse the development of the current Mubarakiya markets and the reconstruction of the part affected by fire.
The sources explained in a statement to a local Arabic daily that the competent sector in the municipality harnessed all the technical capabilities and energies regarding the project to develop Mubarakiya markets in order to complete the project and implement components in a new site added to the current site without prejudice to the current Mubarakiya markets to preserve its historical aspect of the heritage by adding new areas to these markets, stressing that it is the development and has nothing to do with the reconstruction of the damaged part of the market by the fire until it returns to what it was, indicating that that is posted on the social media is mixture of development and reconstruction.
The sources indicated that the Mubarakiya market development project is proceeding according to what is planned according to the schedule and is not hindered by the reconstruction of the damaged part of the fire.
