The Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority has received financial bids for the design of the Wafra Economic Zone, which will be built on 7 million square meters area.

The sources said only two bids have been accepted while others have been rejected. The sources stated the lowest bid was worth 798.9 thousand dinars, while the second was 2 million dinars.

The sources stated many consulting offices have expressed their interest in implementing the initial designs for the project and the infrastructure and is expected to be completed within the next year.

Al-Anba daily has learned the land for the Wafra project is ready for design and implementation, and there are no obstacles and no services available in the area.
