In the past two weeks, 12 expats testing positive for AIDS were deported by security authorities. A Filipino expat, who was engaged in homosexual activity while working in a massage parlor, was arrested and his HIV positive status was discovered.

Sources said that the Filipino revealed during the investigation that he had contracted the disease after physical relationships with many people and gave the numbers of some of them. They were summoned and after conducting a medical examination, found to have AIDS.

Sources revealed that all the infected are of Asian nationalities with most of them from the Philippines and Thailand with a Syrian among them, reported Al Qabas. All were transferred to the deportation center, and subsequently deported within 3 days.
