Despite the announcement by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of the successful start of the operational plan for the new travel requirements, the procedure is not free of problems. There are some issues with the Kuwait Mosafer application. Also, some travelers who have been vaccinated abroad face difficulties in obtaining the approval of their certificates electronically through the Immune application, Al-Rai daily reported.

The daily capacity is also only 5,000 passengers, in addition to this, confusion and ambiguity regarding the list of high-risk countries and the extent to which travelers coming from them are obligated to stay 14 days in a third country (transit) before their arrival and without any official announcement explaining this problem.

National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim called on the Ministry of Health and the DGCA to find an alternative joint mechanism to the Kuwait Mosafer and Immune applications, in the event of technical problems in them, to review the identification papers and health certificates of travelers immediately at the airport so that travelers do not become disrupted or they may be prevented from traveling for reasons that are not their fault.

Health sources revealed daily that the technical committee for auditing vaccination certificates has increased the pace of its work by increasing the number of certificates that are reviewed and approved daily and reducing the waiting period to respond to travelers waiting for approval.

The Civil Aviation Administration announced the monitoring of a number of incoming expat passengers who did not meet the conditions for the approval of the vaccination certificate by immune application, as they were returned on the same flight in compliance with the implementation of the decisions in this regard.
