The Salmiya Police have taken possession of the fully decomposed remains of young girl from the bathroom of her family apartment in Salmiya.
According to Al-Jarida this happened when the a 21-year-old Kuwaiti walked into the Salmiya Police Station and accused his mother of killing his sister five years ago, but the shocked police officials are confused why it took the young man so long to complain about the murder.
The young man only said, he had a quarrel with his mother because she had killed his sister in 2016. However, when the police rushed to the apartment the mother and the complainant’s brother prevented them from entering and security men forced open the door after getting permission from the Public Prosecution and found the decomposed remains in the bathroom of the apartment.
The source stated the mother and the brother have been arrested and referred for interrogation. The corpse has been referred to Forensics Medicine Department to determine the cause and time of the death.
During interrogation the mother acknowledged that she was aware of the existence of the corpse but did not confess to killing her or rather denied killing her. She said she was afraid to report the death to the police for fear of being accused of killing her or covering up the ‘murder’.
