Dadabhai Travel, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) reliable travel agency that organizes special flights that provide opportunities for Filipinos to avail cheaper rates. Special flights are in collaboration with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Kuwait. Dadabhai Travel has organized so far 14 special flights.
Special flights have been organized to allow OFWs in Kuwait the opportunity to avail cheaper rates and accommodate full seating capacity of the aircraft. These flights require permission from Philippines and Kuwait secured and arranged by POLO OWWA Kuwait with the Department of Labor and Employment in the Philippines under the auspices of Secretary Silvestre Bello III.
“Dadabhai has always been in the service of the Filipinos from the most difficult times during the height of COVID 19 pandemic till present. We have provided services to POLO OWWA that gave chance for deportees from different jails, distressed workers from the public and agencies’ shelters, medical cases and vacation travels to return home and be with their families” commented Paulita Lundang, Manager of Dadabhai Travel in Salmiyah.
Philippine Labor Attaché Honorable Nasser Mustafa commented in a brief interview with the Times Kuwait said that due to COVID 19 restrictions, passengers have been limited in numbers and fees have been difficult to raise for most and special flights gave the chance to save and allow more OFWs to return home.
“It is our way to help and assist OFWs to be with their families especially during this holiday season” added Mustafa. Recent special flight dated 26th of December included forty passengers from Shelter and jails. “POLO provides tickets for OFWs who have no capacity to pay that includes distressed workers, undocumented workers, expired visas and medical cases. In some cases we also communicate with employers to settle the fares and many have been cooperative” commented Mustafa.
“The cheaper rates provided for by Dadabhai made it possible for me to be with my family on this very important occasion. I thought it would be difficult to secure seats but Salmiya staff made it happen and thank them for this chance to be home with my family commented Cecilia Galvez, a household helper.
Passengers with cases have expressed gratitude to POLO OWWA and Philippine Embassy for their continuous support and assistance to enable them to come home. “We never cease to provide assistance and support to our OFWs in need and we know how important this season is to them and for that with our legal team with remaining OFWs in jail and shelters we hope to send them home the soonest possible time” commented Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait HE Mohammad Noordin Pendosina Lomondot.
