Your Highness,
With great grief in my heart, I received information on the passing of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the late Amir of the State of Kuwait. HH Sheikh Al-Sabah became a beloved ruler and world-renowned statesman and political leader, tirelessly striving to appease adversarial parties in conflicts around the world, most notably in the Gulf region.
His Highness was a very good friend of the Czech Republic and its citizens. He has always assisted in the development and flowering of friendly relations between our countries. I perceive his passing as a huge loss for Kuwait and its people, but also for world diplomacy. Your Highness, let me express on behalf of the Czech citizens as well as on behalf of myself the deepest condolences to the Kuwaiti people and the aggrieved family.
