On the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the National Day and the 31st anniversary of the Liberation Day I would like to express both on behalf of the Czech Republic and its people and on my own behalf to H.H. Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, and through him to the State of Kuwait, its government and its people my sincere congratulations. May His Highness enjoy good health, and the country, under his wise leadership, continues to proceed towards development and progress.
The Czech Republic is proud to have been part of an international coalition that liberated Kuwait from the hands of invaders.
Next year we will together commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
I highly value friendly ties and the results of the successful cooperation between our two countries achieved so far, and I am confident that in the near future the bilateral cooperation will be further strengthened and deepened for the benefit of the people of both countries.
I wish the State of Kuwait a future full of peace, stability and prosperity.
