The General Administration of Customs has tightened its procedures against food smuggling and issued instructions to customs authorities to ban the export of fresh eggs from the beginning of October until the end of May 2023.
A local Arabic daily has learned the customs authorities have decided to discourage foodstuff smuggling a fine of 50% will be imposed on the value of the seized goods which should be paid within 15 days.
