The customs authorities have seized 170 powdered milk tins which were being smuggled out of the country.
A local Arabic daily said, the Director General of the General Department of Customs has issued strict order to check and inspect all export shipments to prevent subsidized food items from being smuggled out of the country.
The seized goods have been handed over to the Supply Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Legal procedures have been initiated against the suspects.
