Workers of companies that were allowed to begin operations within the first stage of returning to normalcy plan could avail of curfew permits to enter and exit the lockdown areas where they are residents of, reported Al Rai daily.

Hundreds of curfew permits were granted during the past few days to companies on the condition that the workers are transported on company buses during exit and entry, and is limited to specific persons from those companies. The curfew permits cover workers employed in companies operating in the restaurants, foodstuffs, car maintenance and pharmacies sector, in addition to granting permits to some pharmacies to enter and exit the lockdown areas to deliver medicines.

The curfew permits were granted after a study was conducted on workers in the lockdown areas and the companies showed to have met the health and precautionary measures taken against the coronavirus. The companies asked for permits from the government authorities after the end of the total curfew was announced stating that their workers are in lockdown areas of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Hawally, Farawaniyah, Khaitan, and Mahboula, and were needed to begin businesses in the first stage to return to normalcy.
